Data Centre Manager Dublin

Echelon Data Centres is an international data centre infrastructure developer providing large-scale assets to support the growing global demand for data and computing resource – sustainably, responsibly and with due regard for the environment.

To support our growing international management team, Echelon is now recruiting a Data Centre Manager to drive data centre operations and related strategy for their new facility in Dublin, Ireland. This role will report to Echelon’s Operations & Facilities Manager.

This is a full time, permanent role and comes with an attractive remuneration package.


  • Take responsibility for delivery, management and reporting of all elements of Echelon’s operational service levels to occupiers.
  • Work with occupier representatives and the Echelon management team with regards to all elements of service delivery.
  • Manage all third parties involved in the delivery of service to Echelon’s occupiers.
  • In conjunction with suppliers, define and maintain standards, KPIs, dashboards and reporting mechanisms to ensure Echelon is fully compliant with all service levels.
  • Interface with the project delivery team in terms of commissioning and operational readiness for all Echelon delivery projects.
  • Oversee all elements of equipment maintenance, advise on upgrades and servicing requirements ensuring all works are carried out to the highest of standards.
  • Manage Capex and Opex budgets in conjunction with the Operations Manager and the CFO.
  • Be responsible for risk identification, mitigation and management of Echelon’s facility.
  • Be an active member of the Echelon leadership team and support other areas of the organisation as required.
  • Manage the Echelon Critical environment team in all facets of their career.
  • Be responsible for the Health & Safety policies and procedures onsite.


  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, 2+ of which must be within the data centre industry.
  • Direct experience managing data centre operational facilities and contributing to overall operations strategy within a hyperscale environment.
  • Thorough understanding of data centre critical infrastructure, including power and cooling.
  • Team player with a ‘can do attitude’ and demonstrated experience in strategic thinking, effective leadership and problem solving.
  • Proven track record in effective third party and vendor management.
  • Strong communicator with proven experience providing reports and updates to occupiers, and other key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • While predominantly based in Dublin, the successful candidate must be able to undertake domestic and international travel when required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline is desirable although relevant time served experience will be considered.
  • Fundamental understanding of network design and layout including low voltage cabling.
