Niall Molloy – CEO

Niall is the main principal of Aldgate Developments and CEO and founder of Echelon Data Centres. He is highly experienced in property development activities with over 20 years experience in the Irish, UK and Middle Eastern markets.

Niall has a proven track record of successfully delivering large scale complex developments on time and within budget while driving returns for investors and, as CEO, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the business as well as taking an active role all aspects of property selection, assessment, delivery and operations.

Martin Murphy – Chairman

Martin has over 30 years of International experience in the Technology and Telecommunications sectors. A former Managing Director and Chairman of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Ireland, Martin was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive director to the Ulster Bank Ireland Board in July 2016 and currently serving as Interim Chairman.

Martin is also a board member of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) which manages Ireland's National Debt, Ireland’s Strategic Investment Fund, and provides a range of asset and liability management services to Government

Graeme McWilliams – COO

Graeme is a project management and delivery expert with over 20 years experience. In his previous role as COO of a successful business and IT consultancy, he delivered complex business and technical projects on behalf of organisations such as First Data, Bank of Ireland, AIB Merchant Services, AIG and Aviva while also driving and controlling the wider consulting business.

As COO of Echelon, Graeme is responsible for the day to day operations of the overall business and driving the strategy through to realisation.

Damien Gaynor – CMO

Damien has over 20 years’ experience in the Telecommunications and IT industry, holding various senior roles (including Country Manager and Managing Director) and working with companies such as GTS, FLAG Telecom & Digiweb.

He brings extensive experience working within data centre and carrier environments and has worked on projects with companies across the technology stack from software startups to Hyperscale deployments.

Simon McCormick – CTO

Simon is Echelon’s Chief Technical Officer, responsible for design and engineering strategy as well as innovation at the enterprise level.

Before joining Echelon, Simon worked at a global engineering firm where he was involved in projects for a variety of cloud service providers, co-location providers and enterprise end users across EMEA.

He is a chartered member of the ICE, the RICS, and the CIOB, and has also worked on both the contractor and consultant side.

Dave Molloy – CFO

Dave has over 10 years’ experience within commercial and residential development finance roles, both in Ireland and Australia.

As CFO of Echelon Data Centres, Dave is responsible for all elements of financial management and ensuring alignment of financial performance and plans with the short and long-term strategic objectives of the company.

Trevor Whelan – CCO

Trevor is Echelon’s Chief Commercial Officer, with responsibility for maximising value from the company’s commercial relationships on behalf of both internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining Echelon, Trevor was a director at Eastdil Secured in London where he worked in the real estate and infrastructure sector across Europe. Trevor has advised on over $15bn of asset sales, joint venture recapitalisations and structured financing transactions.

He holds business degrees from University College Dublin and Yale University.

Gerard Shields – Operations & Facilities Manager

Gerard is Operations and Facilities Manager of Echelon Data Centres and has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Echelon’s datacentre infrastructure, ensuring timely and exact delivery of its customers’ requirements.

Gerard has over 10 years of experience working in datacentre operations, holding various management roles within Dataplex and Keppel Datacentres, and has an extensive track record of dealing with co-location providers, cloud service providers and hyperscale customers.

Barry Parris – US VP Sales

Barry came to Echelon with over 20 years of international experience in the telecommunications Industry, gained while helping large OTTs and content companies build out their datacentre and network infrastructure in North America, South America and EMEA.

Barry has held senior sales roles at leading companies such as Telecom Italia Sparkle / LANautilus, Time Warner Cable, Digital Realty and Interxion.

David Murphy - Programme Manager

David has over 25 years experience in the IT and business consulting industries, successfully delivering complex business initiatives for clients in the Irish, UK and US markets.

David has worked on a wide variety of programmes from large-scale migrations to strategic reviews, process improvements, product launches as well as technology implementations. He has extensive experience in steering business management, project resources and users through change, positioning ownership within those projects to ensure successful implementation. His clients included indigenous Irish financial services organisations (including AIB, Bank of Ireland, Permanent TSB & Aviva), as well as multi-national organisations (such as First Data, Elavon & Bank of America Merchant Services).
